Do you know the article 51 of the Act respecting occupational health and safety?
At KRANING, a very important part of what we do is to help educate our clients about their responsabilities and obligations, in order to avoid certain situations.
The article 51 of the AROHS is the perfect example:
‘Every employer must take the necessary measures to protect the health and ensure the safety and physical well-being of his worker…’
The article 51.3 of the AROHS also states this:
‘ensure that the organization of the work and working procedures and techniques do not adversly affect the safety or health of a worker.’
The article 51.5 of the AROHS :
‘use methods and techniques intended for the identification, control and elimination of risks to the safety or health of a worker.’
The article 51.9 of the AROHS :
‘give the worker adequate information as to the risks connected with his work and provide him with the appropriate training, assistance or supervision to ensure that he possesses the skill and knowledge required to safely perfom the work assigned to him.’
Are you starting to see a common theme here? Indeed, an employer must take precautions when workers execute their tasks. It is so important that employees be trained in order to be safe and conform to health and safety measures. You can read the entire article 51 here.
KRANING is here to help you!
Until next time,
